DR ROSE JOHNSTON
Born in Hutt Hospital, Rose grew up in the Valley and attended high school at Naenae College. She trained at Otago University and graduated in 1978.
"I started working at Ropata in 1981, and have been here ever since, apart from a five year stint practicing in the United Kingdom in the mid 1980s."
"This is a great Practice to work in. It’s well-run and innovative, and delivers a top standard of care."
Rose's interests include reading, classical music (she plays the clarinet), gardening and walking.
"In my spare time, I’m also working with my mother on a long-term project to catalogue a heritage collection of my late father’s photographs. He was the Forest Service photographer, working from the 1950s through to the early 1980s photographing New Zealand forestry and wildlife, and his work has been exhibited."
