DR STEWART REID
Born, brought up and educated in Scotland, Stewart came to New Zealand in 1977 and has been working with Ropata since 1978. He is now a partner.
Stewart has had a special interest in infectious disease and vaccinations for many years, sitting on the immunisations advisory committee advising the Government since 1980. He has been closely involved in the planning for, and the roll out of MeNZB. Stewart is the driving force behind Ropata Medical Centre’s pandemic (“bird flu”) planning and advises the Hutt Valley District Health Board.
“I’m pleased to have been involved in the early building and development of the Practice to a point where we now have more than17,000 patients, and we’re able to deliver a wide range of high quality primary healthcare services.”
Most appropriately for a Scotsman, golf is his passion – and is often found out on the course.
