Welcome to Ropata Community Primary Health Organisation (RCPHO). Ropata Medical Centre is part of RCPHO. RCPHO’s mission statement is:
"To enhance the health of the individuals enrolled with Ropata Community PHO through the provision of comprehensive primary healthcare."
As part of the Government’s Primary Healthcare Strategy, RCPHO was formed in October 2004. RCPHO manages the Primary Healthcare funding from the Ministry of Health, and works with its provider, Ropata Medical Centre, to plan and deliver primary healthcare services to individuals enrolled with RCPHO. It works closely with the local District Health Board, Hutt Valley DHB.
RCPHO is a not-for-profit Trust, governed by a Board of Trustees. The Trust Board consists of seven Trustees appointed to represent community, providers, Maori and Pacific peoples. The Trustees are:
• Two community/consumer representatives – Max Shierlaw (Board Chair)
and Kath Satory
• One Maori representative – Rawiri Evans
• One Pacific representative – Teresa Semple
• Three provider representatives – Dr Don Barrett (Ropata Medical
Centre), Nolaine Coombes (Plunket Wellington), Michelle Day
(Ropata Medical Centre)
