Complaints Procedures
Please contact our Office Manager (Denise Spraggs) or speak to your Doctor, if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of Ropata Medical Centre’s service.
A brochure outlining consumers’ rights from the Health and Disability Commissioner is available from reception.
Staff and Patient Behaviour Policy
Our staff has a very challenging task juggling the needs of Doctors, patients and ringing telephones, so your patience is appreciated.
As employers we are obliged to provide a safe workplace for our staff, so patients who physically or verbally abuse or threaten staff will be required to leave the Practice and seek their healthcare elsewhere.
Ropata Medical Centre Privacy Policy
Where you provide personal information (for example, through an on-line form) we hold your personal information as required by the Privacy Act 1993. This Act details how we may collect, use, hold, disclose, access, correct, manage and dispose of your personal information.
Practice Vocational Training Programme
Ropata Medical Centre is a teaching Practice for the General Practice Vocational Training Programme. We have Registrars and qualified Doctors with two or three years experience training to be General Practitioners. From time to time, you may be offered appointments with the Registrar if your own Doctor is fully booked. Sometimes a partner from the Practice may sit in on these consultations or the session may be video taped. We do need your consent to take part in this teaching process and you are free to decline. Your confidentiality will be maintained at all times.
